RDP support / poor refresh on Windows Vista/7 images

I realize I may be re/opening a can of worms and there were very good reasons to choose VNC as standard.

However, we have recently started turning on some animated effects for IE, since IE 9 now supports CSS transitions, but I find that I can't really test these with CBT, because the refresh rate is too slow for me to know whether, for example, an element moved into place or jumped into place.

If I hook up one of your VMs to my LogMeIn account -- not something I want to have to do all the time -- performance is more acceptable, or at least enough to know whether effects are happening or not.

I'm sure that if you supported RDP, I would be able to get a proper sense of the feel of our pages. Is there any chance you would ever optionally allow direct RDP to a random port, as you allow direct VNC to a random port? I know all you have to do is set one Registry value in the image to change the listening port -- I know this would entail all kinds of other architectural changes but as far as allowing the VM itself to listen it would be straightforward, no?

This is something we have

This is something we have talked about before. RDP would definitely give better performance. It is, however, pretty much limited to Windows (and I believe possibly Lunix) OSs, so it would not work with all platforms as VNC does. It is something we may work on in the future as there are definitely some advantages to it, but we have no short term plans on this.
